Happy Halloween!! These little figures by VintagebyCrystal are a lil Halloween but have enough Christmas snowy sweetness that I'd keep them around for winter too. The designer states they were "hand spun using techniques similar to those of the early German artisans who created cotton ornaments for Christmas." Very cool! Check out her amazing pumpkins that were made using a technique called needle felting "where the wool is poked thousands of times with a barbed needle to get the desired shape".
I'm in love with this "cute kicky purse" with a pieced houndstooth pattern. Made by B.Vann and available for $60 on etsy. Large interior pocket plus cell phone pocket and durable canvas straps.
These little wonders have been carved out of the inside of a #12 pool ball. $45, designed by Eleanor Salazar, available at Supermarkethq. I love how bold and graphic they are, plus they're repurposed! Go repurposing!
Yep, that's singular - cupCAKE stand. I sometimes bake for office birthdays and I've always wanted to do a special cupcake for the birthday king/queen - this would be a pret-ty fancypants way to display it on their desk. (OR, I could just bring myself a single cupcake and flaunt it for all to see - muahaa!) Designed by Amanda Goss and available for $60 at Fred Flare.
I found this etsy store, Local Library, on a blog and I feel bad I can't remember where now. There is just too much to love here: this one's called "sunny icicle" modern circular locket:
Linzie Hunter has taken all those silly, filthy, cheesy, filthy, annoying, filthy spam emails and created funny, beautiful typographic art. They're all about $30.
I work at an ad agency so I bought this one for the office. Some of these would be pretty funny in your bathroom or bedroom:
That's what Puka-puka means in Japanese and this etsy shop sells lovely one-of-a-kind mobiles. I need these colorful, gently floating bits of happy in my home!
I love the work of the artist/illustrator, Yellena - so lush, aquatic, floral, and otherworldly! Her work has been in Anthropologie, Domino, Giant Robot, and more. AND she has an etsy shop full of gorgeous, affordable prints:
I have my holiday white elephant gift exchange on the brain..and I kinda want to order and get my gift early this time. It's been a long while since I've visited Fred Flare and these are a few ideas I'm tossing around...would you viciously snatch any of these away from your fellow co-worker? Who doesn't like food that smiles back at you? Mini Bear Smile Skillet - $18
Speaking of beautiful fabric, there are some amazingly pretty scarves in the Virginia Johnson's sale section. Only $35 each, these scarves are large and long enough to used as sarongs or shawls. I initially bought a few as an attempt at early Christmas shopping but seriously...who am I kidding...
Clicking thru DrikaB's etsy shop, it's hard to find a handbag or tote that I DON'T want. Beautiful fabric choices and combinations...and practical as well. Found through Jersey is the New Black
In honor of my niece born today! Yay! I know I'm going to visiting Allisa Jacobs' Etsy shop wayyy too much for the new baby girl in our family. I love the colors and combinations of fabrics:
An amazing selection of bags, pouches, coin purses, eyeglasses cases, ipod cases, etc. From modern florals, to polka dots with penguins, to sweet one-of-a-kind embroidery, the etsy Oktak Shop is the place to find the perfect satchel to protect, store or carry your valuables.
We got this little wind-up guy for my brother-in-law a few years back. And every time I see him at my sister's house, I have an urge to stick him in my purse and bring him home. When you wind him up, his hula moves up and down and his heart pops out, thumpet-y thump. And there are MORE: Available at Giant Robot for only $19!
True to its name, this place is the perfect place to find a gift for your holiday White Elephant this year. Wonderful, curious vintage selections at White Elephant Vintage.
